The precise meaning of the name "Gangtok" is unclear, though the most popular meaning is "hill cut". Today, Gangtok is a centre of Tibetan Buddhist culture and learning, with the presence of several monasteries, religious educational institutions, and centres for Tibetology.Gangtok is a municipality, the capital and the largest town of the Indian state of Sikkim. It also is the headquarters of the East Sikkimdistrict. Gangtok is located in the eastern Himalayan range, at an elevation of 1,650 m (5,410 ft).
Meet & greet with our representative at NJP Railway station /Bagdogra Airport & transfer to Gangtok.

After breakfast start for a half day trip to Yumthang Valley, which is only 25kms from Lachung, On the
way visit hot Spring and come back to Lachung. Later transfer from Lachung
to Gangtok (117kms/6.5hrs). En-route sightseeing at Bhimdala Waterfall, Twin Waterfall, Tong Check
Post. Check in at Hotel. Evening free at Gangtok for individual activity and leisure. Over night at Gangtok.
After breakfast drive to Tsomgo Lake (Alt 12000ft/3600M), a high altitude alpine lake close to Indo-
China Border. Enjoy playing in snow and try Yak Ride and proceed further to Legendary Baba Harbhajan
Singh Mandir. Back to Hotel. Nightstay at Gangtok hotel.
After breakfast transfer to Darjeeling "The Queen of Hills". check into the hotel..In evening you can visit local market or near by area by own...Overnight stay will be at Darjeeling
Early Morning (at 04.00 am) visit Tiger hill to watch the spectacular sunrise over Mt. Khangchendzongha
(28,208 ft. worlds third highest peak), on your way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop....
After breakfast visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P. N. Zoological Park (Thursday closed),Tenzing
Rock, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre , Tea Garden, Peace Pagoda, Japanese Temple. Overnight stay
at Darjeeling.
After B/Fast leisure time free for packing and personal activity, Transfer to Bagdogra airport/NJP &
proceed journey with sweet memory of North East
