Bandhavgarh: Bandhavgarh is known for the Royal Bengal Tigers The density of the Tiger population at Bandhavgarh is the highest known in India, Bandhavgarh National Park was the former hunting preserve of the Maharaja of Rewa and at present is a famous natural hub for White Tigers. White Tigers, now a major attraction around the world's zoos, were first discovered in Rewa, not far from here. The terrain is broken, with rocky hill ranges, running roughly east west, interspersed with grassy swamps and forested valleys. Changes in Bandhavgarh tourism policies Bandhavgarh shot into fame with Charger and Sita sightings in mid nineties, ever since there has been no looking back for this national park in MP. The Tiger density in the Tala zone of this park puts rest of the parks to shame. A rare jewel as far as Tiger sightings are concerned, Bandhavgarh attracted lot of media attention for the number of Tigers one would see in each Safari. Tourists would come out of the park saying they saw 4, some 5, some even 6 in just one safari. Sounds unbelievable, but it is 100% true.
Kanha: Situated in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, the picturesque Kanha National Park was the inspiration behind Rudyard Kipling's unforgettable classic Jungle Book. A heightened attraction within the Park is Bamni Dadar, popularly known as Sunset Point that offers the most awe-inspiring backdrop of the sunset against grazing Sambhars and Gaurs, magnifying the natural splendor of the area. Aside from its diverse wildlife and bird population, the frequent sightings of Tigers roaming in the wild at Kanha Wildlife Sanctuary remain the most popular draw. The main wildlife attractions in the park are tiger, bison, gaur, sambhar, chital, more pictures.... barasingha, barking deer, black deer, black buck, chousingha, nilgai, mouse deer, sloth bear, jackal fox, porcupine, hyena, jungle cat, python, pea fowl, hare, monkey, mongoose, tiger, and leopard. There is a museum at Kanha depicting attributes and activities of the park and tribal culture. It is closed every Wednesday.
Jabalpur: Jabalpur an ancient city in central India on the shores of the holy river Narmada and on the tributary plains the Hiran, Gour, Ken and Sone rivers. The Narmada River valley is famous for its Marble Rocks, Apart from that, the city is even known for housing some historical forts and war memorials amidst the panoramic beauty of the place. Presently, it has become one of the important administrative cum industrial center of the country of India. Jabalpur is even known as Sanskaardhaani, which means "cultural capital" in the Hindi language and "Land of Gondwanas".,Jabalpur is an industrial city with a large component of defense industry and a lot of smaller cottage industry. It is a great education center as well, with two universities, Rani Durgavati University and Jawaharlal Nehru Agricultural University, and with about 30 colleges with a range of faculties. It also has several engineering and medical colleges.
Best Time to Visit: Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve remains open from October to June months for visitors.
