Port  Blair : Capital of the Andaman Nicobar Islands, Port Blair is also the port of entry to these islands. It is the hub around which activities in this archipelago revolve. The Marine National Park, its diverse museums, the historic Cellular Jail and the water sports complex make it the pivotal place to kick start a quintessential Andaman experience.
Port Blair offers some rather offbeat options for travelers to pursue as well. From snorkeling and forest trekking (to nearby peaks like Mount Harriet) to strolling on a beach and island hopping, travelers have an entire gamut of activities to pursue here.
A visit to the picture-postcard Corbyns Cove Beach is highly recommended.Tall swaying coconut trees, white sand and the emerald sea welcome you here.

HAVLOCK : About 38 kilometers northeast of Port Blair, Havelock Island is a hidden jewel. Few Indians know of this stunning beach destination in their own backyard while heading for Phuket (in Thailand) across the waters of Andaman Sea.Small wonder, Time magazine in 2004 rated the islands Radhanagar Beach as the finest in Asia. With lush tropical forest on one side, the draw of this white sand beach has steadily grown in the legion of avid beach buffs.
Havelock is a serene tropical island encompassing about 86 square kilometers. Its clear waters are rated among the best in the world for snorkeling and scuba diving.Close to 1000 different species of marine life inhabit the waters of the Andaman Islands.Scuba divers can see nudibranchs, sea slugs and snails, varieties of ghost pipefish, jawfish and a number of different crustaceans of all shapes and sizes. One of the prime attractions is the graceful manta ray.Dolphins, turtles, giant grouper and napoleon wrasse are other sea creatures one can see.
White sand beaches, 40 meters visibility underwater, colorful coral reefs and its 'far from the madding crowd’ appeal have made Havelock Island a dream destination among discerning travelers.

CELLULAR JAIL : The one name that sends chills down the spine even today is that of Kala Pani Jail, located in Andaman. The jail still has the fear element in the air and anyone visiting the place can sense the pain the inmates went through back during the time this jail was functional. The British undertook the construction of the Cellular Jail and would send "dangerous" criminals from India to this place to undergo torturous treatments. The Andaman Island was used to house prisoners way back in the year 1857.The Cellular Jail of Andaman Island is now a protected monument and stands as a testimony to the torture meted out to the helpless prisoners.

VIPER  ISLAND : Viper Island is of much historical importance because the first jail was constructed at this island where the offenders were sent to serve their punishment. After the Cellular Jail was made, the convicts were transferred there. You can go and explore the cells where the prisoners were kept in Viper Island at Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The gallows is sited at the top of the mound. It is the place where the people sentenced to death were hanged till death. One of the very famous freedom fighter Sher Ali, who killed the Lord Mayo, the Viceroy of India in 1872, was hanged here.

ROSE  ISLAND : Ross Island, which is accessible from Phoenix Bay Jetty through a boat ride, is situated at the entry region of Port Blair harbor. Ross Islands, once the administrative head quarters of British Colonial Rulers, still bears the ruins of a Church and cemetery. It was during the British rule that the island was developed to a perfect township. The island is reminiscent of its old British regime.

CHATTAM  SAW  MILL : Chatham Saw Mill, owned by Forest department, is credited as one of the biggest and oldest saw mills all through Asia and is located at the north tip of Andaman.A bridge connects this saw mill to Port Blair, The mill cuts massive wood into different sizes and shapes of timber and is functioning as the main source of timber for government and private agencies at a moderate price.

RADHANAGAR  BEACH : Radhanagar Beach is one of the two popular beaches located at Havelock Island in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The other one is Vijaynagar Island. The serene beach which is far away from the polluted cities and towns has a majestic spell that attracts tourists to its beauty.
